The W7 Bronze & Glow Dupe

Whilst away on holiday I managed to sneak in a little bit of shopping here and there. Of course this included buying make up, I love shopping in Spain for make up as it is so affordable and holds brands I cannot get here in the UK.

As I was browsing the sections I came across the W7 Bronze and Glow duo, it instantly took my attention as it was so similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. Not only is the name extremely similar so is the pattern on the bronzer and highlighter. The pattern looks like beams, shooting out of the product.

The difference between the two is, of course, the packaging and also the bronzers. The bronzer for the Charlotte Tilbury palette is matte and a beautiful contour colour. Whereas, the bronzer in the W7 palette has a slight shimmer, nothing too heavy but also noticeable.

I love the Charlotte Tilbury palette but the W7 palette is a wonderful, cheap alternative. I picked it up for only €2.99 which is a bargain price for the product, I have tested it out and love the bronzer. Although there is shimmer in it, it does provide a beautiful contour and bronzer colour. I think it works better as a bronzer due to the shimmer in the product but the colour is not too orange. The highlighter, however, is not very pigmented at all and I really had to rub the product quite hard in order to get any pigmentation at all.

Whilst the highlighter part is not great I cannot argue with the price of the palette, at only €2.99 it is a bargain price. If you can’t manage the highlighter then the bronzer alone is worth the price, which is also a fraction of the Charlotte Tilbury price.

The May Primor Haul

As I mentioned in one of my previous blog posts I went on a little trip to Spain, during this time I made sure to visit the local Primor's. I love this particular drugstore as there are so many different brands which I cannot get in the UK. Primor houses both high-end make up and the low-end make up. I have yet to buy any of their high end range but I always pick up something from the low-end. One of my favourite brands from Primor is Wet N Wild, this particular brand as far as I am aware, cannot be purchased in the UK. I have actually only seen the brand on American Youtubers videos and whenever I am able to purchase something I always grasp the opportunity. For this particular trip to Primor I actually only purchased one lipstick and this was one of their cheaper ones, in the colour Blind Date and was extremely affordable at €1.99.

The next product I picked up was from L'Oreal and it's their Nude Magique Cushion Foundation, I have not seen the product in any of the UK drugstores and I have actually only ever seen it on a few bloggers posts. I picked up the foundation in that colour porcelain and it is a perfect match for myself and I'm excited to see how it works.
The brand Catrice was the reason I went into Primor in the first place. I firstly picked up the All Round Concealer Palette which contains five different shades, two light shades, a darker shade and then also a salmon colour and a green colour. I also purchased the All Round Contouring Palette, this also contains five shades; two darker ones for contouring and three lighter shades for highlighting. The final item that I picked up from Catrice is the Nude Illusion Loose Powder.

Esscence was my next stop where I purchased three affordable lip liners. I picked up a nude lip liner in the colour In The Nude, a slightly darker nude in the colour Satin Mauve and finally a red in the colour Femme Fatale.

Finally I purchased a contour and highlighter kit from W7 as it reminded me of the Charlotte Tilbury one I owned and wanted to see if this would be a good dupe. Finally from W7 I purchased a new mascara, this one is called Argan Eyes and claims to make the lashes healthier.

The Costa Del Sol Trip

Home of the sun and also home to my Uncle. I went on a four-day break to the beautiful Fuengirola to laze on its beaches, enjoy the bars and to sneak in a bit of shopping here and there (stay tuned for a Primor Drugstore haul).

I love this beautiful little place. Set at the very south of Spain and only half an hour train ride to Malaga there is much to explore. Spain has become our little safe haven. Our place to visit when we want to escape and relax.

My uncle owns two bars in Fuengirola so after a day on the beach it's lovely to end up in one of these bars, drink in hand and gazing at the sunset on the beach – what bliss! Whilst enjoying wonderful food and wonderful company.

The Covent Garden Haul

As stated from my previous blog post I recently went on a lovely trip to London and found myself wondering around the beauty quarter in Covent Gardens. Whilst here I picked up some bits and pieces as I could not help myself! Plus! It was my 21st birthday so I did have the best excuse!

First stop whilst there was the Dior store, what a beautiful shop! It was like walking into a little slice of heaven. I wanted to find a signature scent that I could relate to my birthday and remember when I wore it. I did not know which one to buy but when I smelt the Miss Dior perfume I was hook. It's not too overpowering but still has a sweet scent. I've been trying to prevent myself from wearing it every day but it's too darn nice! The second item I got from Dior is the Dior Show Iconic Overcurl Mascara, I have been trying to find a great mascara for a while now and nothing seemed to be cutting it. I had seen this as a recommendation and thought I would give it a go and I love it! It makes my lashes so long and volumnised.

The next place we went to was Chanel, to be honest I felt slightly self conscious in this store as I felt as if I were being scrutinised by the people that worked there. Therefore, I only purchased? one lipstick, I wanted a true red to have so that I would wear it throughout the day during the summer. This lipstick is from the Rogue Coco line and is in the colour Gabrielle.

I also popped into Urban Decay where I picked up a new lip liner in the colour Ex-Girlfriend.

The final two products are from Charlotte Tilbury; this shop is beautiful. So many rose gold accents that just has me swooning and wanting more. The first item I purchased was one of the eyeshadow quads in The Vintage Vamp. The second is the Filmstar Bronze and Glow, a beautiful face sculpt and highlighter perfect for contouring or creating a little bit of definition.
