I Cannot Believe How Long It Has Been!

I cannot believe how long it is has been since I have posted here! I seriously did not think it was as long as it has been, but with all of my college work that my lecturers have bombarded me with I have not had enough time to do hardly anything and then with work as well, all my spare time has been taken up. I had planned to do many updates over half term but that was taken up with college work and work once again, but now I promise I will do better!

I have recently bought many new products which I will be reviewing very soon, including haricare products which I have been loving at the moment!

So stay tuned and I will hopefully have two new posts by the end of the week! Fingers crossed! ;D

I have changed my mind about the MUA BB Cream

Recently I made a post about MUA's BB Cream. Talking about how I did not like it as I found it way too shiny and did not give as much coverage as you would expect a BB Cream to give. However, now that I have tried it with my pressed powder I have decided that I like it a lot as it keeps my make up on all day and also makes my skin feel smooth and soft.

One problem I have come across is that the tube is almost empty and I have only used it about 5 times, not too happy about that!

However, I would recommend it as it is only £4.00 and different people may find it works better than others.

MUA BB Cream Review...

I am so sorry to you all who have been waiting for this review I know that it is very, very late!

Anyway MUA BB Cream...

I was really excited at the possibility to get this product as I had never used a BB Cream before as I had heard many good things about Asian BB Creams as they are supposed to be very good for the skin and act like a full coverage foundation.

However, when I put MUA BB Cream on it was not as thick as I thought that it was going to be and did not give my skin as much full coverage as I would have liked it to have. It also made my skin very shiny and oily, something which I thought a BB Cream would take away from the skin and not make it worst. But I must say that on the second coat that I did it was more of a coverage but still made my skin very shiny.

(As you can see my face looks very shiny here,
also please excuse the fact I look a mess)

What I did not do however was put my normal powder on top of the BB Cream so I do not know how it looks with pressed powder on top. I will be trying this again just to see if this will make a difference and not make it more shiny, or (god forbid) orange.

Another one of my problems is that the opening of the tube is a rather big hole so a lot of the product escapes and goes into the lid of the tube. A good thing though is that when you first open the product it has a protective silver cap over the opening so that no product escapes and no bacteria can enter it. I also really like the packaging a long with most MUA products as I feel that it has a professional look about it.

I will, however, be trying this product again so that I can see what it is like with the powder on top of it. I will also be doing a review for when that happens so I can tell you all what I think about it and also whether or not it works well.

I have already tested and tried the BB cream by MUA so that review should be up tomorrow (fingers crossed), also my lip liner and pressed powder I have used and will be reviewing them very soon too! (probably with my BB cream).

I also have decided to review Rimmel's 'Stay Matte Pressed Powder' in the colour 'Peach Glow' which is number 003.

Also if you have seen in my last review blog my photo's were rubbish quality, which i am really sorry about as I was using my phone for quickness and the camera is shocking on it so I will use my Nikon next time! Promise!

So I Went To Bath Today (Well the day before Yesterday actually)...

I've been trying to find the excuse to write this all day and there just hasn't been the time to! Which is an absolute bummer because I really wanted to get it posted Yesterday, but college work got in the way of my blogging time :(

Anyway Bath....

The reason I took a day out of my hetic schedule of college to go to Bath was because Bath Spa University were having an open day which I wanted and did attend. I had many apprehensions about going to visit this University because after seeing Plymouth Uni and Portsmouth Uni I didn't think I would find anywhere else where I would like it so much. And actually... I loved it more than the others.

It was so beautiful driving up the long driveway, it almost made you believe that you were in the countryside and not in the middle of a busy city. It was a sunny beautiful day which made it all the more perfect.

The courses which I were interested were able to be combined which was like killing two birds with one stone and to top it off I would be able to involve my passion for photography in one of them. One lecturer spoke of how students got job opportunities after their stay at the University and how some of her students have managed to get jobs at leading firms. This has made me very excited for the possibility of applying there and I truly hope I will be able to.

Now, onto Bath City Centre. My Parents had all but promised me that we would go shopping in the Centre and am I happy we did!! I said that I would share all of my wonderful goodies with you all and here they are....

From the Cath Kidston Store....

My beautiful 'Plimsolls' in a red 'mini dot'. I saw these in the shop window and instantly fell in love with them! They are so beautiful and comfy that I couldn't resist them. (Even though daddy paid for them ;)) They are such a cute design that I feel like they are going to be very popular and know that they are as I had to ask for my size! For £24.00 I feel they are a bargain and along with my 10% student discount which I got with them it was an absolute steal!

Now this isn't my purchase but my mum's but I felt like I just had to show you this beautiful red polka dot 'mini zip bag'. It's so adorably cute and petite and fits perfectly in the crease of your elbow and is also perfect for carrying in your hand that at the price of £24.00 as well it is another true bargain. And along with my student discount again and even better one than before! It's classic design makes it look like a miniature luggage bag, perfect for visits to town, beacesh or even as a hand bag when travelling.

And my final purchase from the Cath Kidston store. Now you may find this a very weird thing to buy seen as although I am the youngest in the family I am at college. A 'sippy cup'. Now if you were in my family you would understand the family joke which goes behind this. But seen as you are not I will try my best to explain it. I am the baby of the family and from this many traits when I was younger gets picked on or teased now (in a nice way). I used to love a 'sippy cup' when I was a little girl and used to carry one around with me all the time. This is just a lovely reminder of my childhood and also it is in a beautiful design. I will not be using this (no matter how much I want to) as its just too lovely to spoil! (Also for all of you who think I am a freak for calling it a 'Sippy Cup' that is the name on the bottom of the cup and also what I have called them for my entire life... So there :P)

From The Disney Store....

My first purchase in the amazing and magical Disney Store was something which I have been wanting ever since it came out and have never been able to justify buying it as recently I have been spending way too much on Disney DVD's and that is 101 Dalmatians. I absolutely love this film and when I saw that it was only £9.99 in the Disney Store I couldn't help myself and had to buy it. Its a timeless classic and has to be in everone's DVD collection and especially mine seen as though I am trying to collect every Disney Classic!

My next and last one is these cute little pencils with Mickey Mouse's face plastered all over them with different facial expressions all over. These little pencils I could not resist as the were in the 'Sale' bucket and from £6.00 were now £1.79! A steal! And what more is there to say? Everyone needs pencils! Especially a college student!

The Afternoon Tea...

After our shopping we were very hungry and well within our rights to find a nice Cafe to have Afternoon Tea as we British call it ;) Afternoon tea normally consists of Classic Tea (Obviously) and Scones but as we are not a normal family we don't play by the rules ;) My mum is allergic to caffeine so we do not have your classic tea, we leave that to my sister, we drink green tea which is equally as delicious and a lot better for you. My dad being the lovely chap he is also stopped drinking normal tea for my mum and his life now consists of green tea and well I just hate normal tea...(I know very British of me ;)) And for our Cakes my mum had a gluten free lemon drizzle cake as she is allergic to wheat and me and my dad had a Scone with butter and Jam and oh my G it was absolutely Massive!! (As shown In picture below) And it was also so beautifully decorated that it made you not want to cut it up! However, I could not resist and it was absolutely beautiful. So light and moist I never wanted it to end. It was also so big that I had to cut it into thirds!

I also forgot to mention that in the shop window was this amazing miniature staircase with decorated cupcakes on every step! It looked absolutely perfect.

And my final goodies... Jack Wills Outlet Store...

I brought many goodies when I went to the Jack Wills outlet store as I just could not help myself as everything was so cheap! I did not buy any clothes because they still seemed to be quite expensive  and I only had £10.00 with me. But what I did buy was a lot of stationary, as you always need stationary for college! So, what I brought was two small note books, one ring binder one with lined paper and the other with plain paper. These were £6.50 each down to £3.00 each! And then the next thing I brought was two highlighter pens which were £2.00 down to 50p each!

And then two lovely Jack Wills pens for 50p (can't remember what they were) and then finally and my best buy is a lipstick I brought in the colour Rose Wood and is a love browny-nude colour which stay on for a very long time and also smells absolutely delicious! It is by fair one of my most favourite lipsticks I have ever bought.

(P.S. I am very sorry about the quality of the photos I used my phone camera for quickness, I will take better photo's of everything and upload them all next week sometime :))

MUA Recent Products

MUA Products
I recently came to know a new brand for myself, MUA or Make Up Academy. I had only ever seen this brand once before on holiday in a Superdrug at Norwich. Then I brought a liquid eyeliner and a few pressed powder eye shadow's all for a pound each. I was really impressed with the quality of all of them and for cheap make up I found that they all stayed on for a number of hours which pleasantly shocked me. Upon returning home I completely forgot about the brand MUA until just recently... or really three days ago.

I needed to buy some more mascara and powder and was going to buy my normal Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara for brown eyes. It makes the eye's really stand out from the rest of the face and also gives them a very dark look. With this mascara I would have gotten a free mini nail varnish. However, upon walking away from the Max Factor stand I saw the MUA products and thought I would just have a look at these and found a number of products which I thought would be a lot more beneficial for me than paying £6.99 on one item (even though I do love my mascara).

Upon picking out all of the items that I wanted I saw an offer up the top of the stand which involved an £8.00 eye shadow palette, stating that if you spent £8.00 then the palette would be free. Feeling like it was a no brainier I immediately began to pick up products which would benefit me.

I first picked up the Every Lash Volume and Lengthening Mascara as it had almost the same brush as the Max Factor one. I was excited to use this to see if it was as good as Max Factor and although it does not give as much volume as Max Factor it separates the lashes a lot more than the Eye Brightening one and also makes the lashes appear very long. I feel that this product is defiantly worth the £3.00 that I paid for it and would be very much inclined to pay more for it as in my opinion it is a very good product.

The next item which I picked up was the Gel Eyeliner in the colour Underground, which is a very dark black. I have been wanting a gel eyeliner for a very long time now and I was going to buy one which was £7.00 from another cosmetic company (which I can't remember now). I was very happy to try this and also very excited when I realised that it was only £3.00, an absolute bargain!

Upon trying this product I became very confused of how you get the brush out of it, thinking that the white thing inside had to come out, which it did not. Now like the silly idiot I am I googled it and found that all you had to do was take the tag which was wrapped around it off and it popped out... very easily. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how easy it is to apply this product, much easier than using liquid eyeliner. The MUA gel eyeliner is very thick and very dark and creates a smooth and perfect black line across the eye lid. I was also very surprised to find that it lasts all day on my eyes only fading slightly. A very good product and defiantly worth all £3.00!

The next item I picked was the MUA Pressed Powder in shade 2, I was happy to buy this product as it was only £1.00 but I knew in the back of my head that I find it very hard to match powder to my skin tone unless it is an expensive product which is very annoying! Upon applying this powder however I found that like most of the other powders it made me very very orange! And this was only shade 2! However, even though it did make me very orange the application was extremely easy and it was a very good coverage! Only problem was the colour!

The last product I picked up was a lipstick in the shade 7, it unfortunately does not have a name, but it is a lovely peachy pink colour. When I saw that the price was only £1.00 I was pleasantly surprised but also thought that it would not last very long at all. But through wearing it for a couple days I found that it lasted for a good couple of hours. However, my only problem with it is that the nice glossy finish which comes from it when you first apply it leaves after about an hour, however the plus side of this is that the colour stays on the lips and lasts for about 4-5 hours.

And finally the free product, the Immaculate Collection Palette. This has to be one of the best free products I have ever gotten, it has 24 colours all varying in shades. Just from looking at the colours I could tell that I would love the eye palette. It has enough colours to make many different kinds of looks including a varying smokey eye, there is the original black smokey eye, a brown smokey eye and a very lovely green smokey eye. Upon trying this I did think that the colours may not spread well but they are very pigmented and spread evenly across the eye lid creating a very bold look or an
classy everyday look. I feel that this is worth all of the money I paid for it but also the £8.00 that it is worth. I would recommend it for everyone to try as you will not get that many colours in a palette for only £8.00.

Hey Guys!

Hey Guys!

I thought that I would start a new blog where I can review new products I have and also just share my general feelings with everyone. I recently became really interested in what different types of products are out there whilst watching a lot of video tutorials online and thought that I would start a blog on new and current products I come across and think would be beneficial for others to know about. I felt that I always use the same old boring products and wanted to experiment with knew ones, whether they be cheap or expensive :)
