Lipsticks are my favourite things in the world. They can totally change and dramatise a make up look. I have decided to share with you my Top 5 Lipsticks! It is going to kick off my ‘Top 5’ series, so make sure to keep checking for the next post in the series! There are so many lipsticks I could have chosen but I wanted to narrow it down to a certain few. My lipstick style has definitely changed over the last few months as I have started to become a lot more daring when it comes to deciding on colour.
Here are my top 5!
5. Mac ‘Fan Fare’
MAC’s Creamsheen Lipstick in the colour Fan Fare is a very neutral shade; I like to describe as ‘my lips but better.’ It has slight brown undertones that give it a very sophisticated and chic look - one that is perfect during the day. It compliments a smoky dramatic eye very well and can also work with a more natural eyeshade.
4. Bourjois Paris Colour Boost ‘Red Sunrise ‘
‘Red Sunrise’ from Bourjois is very creamy, with excellent pigmentation. Although it does not last throughout the day it lasts a good few hours without re application. I love the packaging, as it is sleek and easy to toss into your handbag.
3. Clinique Chubby Stick ‘Plushest Punch’
Clinique’s Chubby Stick in the colour ‘Plushest Punch’ is an intense pillar-box red colour. The stick is also a treatment balm so nourishes the lips and helps to repair if they are cracked. The colour is intense and beautiful and because of the stick form, very easy to apply.
2. Nars Red Lizard
Sticking to the theme of reds, as currently they are my favourite type of lipsticks, Nars ‘Red Lizard’ is a semi-matte colour with blue undertones. It is in-between a vamp red and pillar-box red; perfect for both day and night looks.
1. Mac Russian Red
Finally, MAC’s Matte Lipstick in the colour Russian Red is by far my favourite lip product of all time. Due to the lipstick being matte the colour to last for hours upon hours without the need for a touch up. It also doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry or cracked like some other matte lip products I have come across.
What are your favourite lipsticks?
