DIY Beauty Box
Recently, after having a complete clean out of my room, I came across a cute little Cath Kidston box I had kept after a recent purchase. Not wanting to throw it away I decided to find a way to keep and incorporate it into my room, as it was just too pretty to get rid of.
Finding a few pieces of scrap, flowered, material I decided that I would make it into a beauty box to hold all of my products which I use on a daily basis, and also products which I have recently bought and are wanting to try out.
After lining the box I wanted to find a way to not completely cover the outside of it but to at least hide a little of the writing, and in my scrap box I found a piece of lace material which I thought would be perfect for a little bow around the outside of the box!
How To Make Your DIY Beauty Box
What You Will Need:
1. A Box of You Choice
2. Scrap Pieces of Material
3. Lace Piece of Material
4. Glue
5. Fabric Scissors
1. Start of by cutting a long length of material to three sides of the box - this will act as two sides and the base.
2. Once cut using the glue fold in all of the corners to make a smooth edge.
3. Then cut two more squares for the remaining two sides.
4. Once again glue the edges neatly.
5. Once all of the edges are dry glue the two separate sides onto the box making sure they are opposite each other.
6. Then glue the longer piece of material making sure to only place glue on each side as you go so to not get glue all over the material.
7. Make sure all edges are meeting and you cannot see any of the underneath cardboard.
8. Next, cut a piece of lace folding it three times to make the bow the correct width, glue a dot in the middle to ensure it stays neat.
9. Then tie the bow onto the box!
Your Box is Complete!!
